Booking Services
  • When you book a travel service through our website, you enter into a contract with the service provider (e.g. accommodations, tour operator), not with Shakes Travel. We act as an intermediary between you and the travel service provider, and we are not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, or availability of the travel service. You should read the terms and conditions of the service provider carefully before making a booking.
  • You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information when making a booking, such as your name, email address, phone number, passport number, credit card information, travel preferences, and any other information required by the service provider. You are also responsible for checking the confirmation and travel documents that we send you via email, and notifying us of any errors or discrepancies as soon as possible.
  • You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to make a booking. You are also responsible for ensuring that you and your travel companions meet the eligibility and suitability requirements of the service provider, such as age, health, visa, passport, and insurance. You should check the relevant travel advisories and warnings before booking and traveling.
  • You agree to pay the full amount of the booking at the time of the booking, or according to the payment terms specified by the service provider. You also agree to pay any taxes, fees, surcharges, or other costs that may apply to your booking, such as baggage fees, or fuel surcharges. You authorize us to charge your credit card or other payment method for the booking and any additional costs.
  • You agree to comply with the policies and rules of the service provider, such as check-in and check-out times, baggage allowance, cancellation and change policies, and conduct and behavior rules. You also agree to comply with the laws and regulations of the destination country, and respect the customs and culture of the local people. You are solely responsible for any damages, losses, injuries, or liabilities that may arise from your booking or travel.
 
Cancellation and Change
  • If you want to cancel or change your booking, you should contact us as soon as possible. We will try to assist you, but we cannot guarantee that your request will be accepted by the service provider. The cancellation and change policies of the service provider will apply, and you may incur fees or penalties depending on the type and timing of your request. You should refer to the confirmation and travel documents for the specific cancellation and change policies of your booking.
  • We reserve the right to cancel or change your booking in case of force majeure, such as war, terrorism, natural disasters, epidemics, or other events beyond our control that make it impossible or unsafe to provide the travel service. We will inform you as soon as possible and offer you an alternative or a refund, subject to the terms and conditions of the service provider. We are not liable for any damages, losses, or inconveniences that may result from such cancellation or change.
 
Reviews and Feedback
  • After your travel, you may be invited to submit a review or feedback about your booking and travel experience. You agree to provide honest, accurate, and relevant information, and not to use any offensive, abusive, or inappropriate language or content. You also agree to respect the intellectual property rights and privacy of others, and not to post any personal or confidential information. You grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free, and worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, and display your review or feedback on our website and other platforms, for any purpose and without any compensation to you. We reserve the right to edit, remove, or reject any review or feedback that does not comply with these terms or our guidelines.

This includes, but is not limited to, any damages, losses, injuries, or liabilities resulting from: (a) the acts, omissions, errors, or failures of the service provider or any third party; (b) the cancellation, change, delay, overbooking, or unavailability of the travel service; © the quality, safety, legality, or suitability of the travel service; (d) the performance, non-performance, or breach of these terms or any other agreement by you, us, the service provider, or any third party; (e) the loss, theft, damage, or destruction of your personal belongings, documents, or data; (f) the injury, illness, death, or disability of you or your travel companions; (g) the violation of any laws, regulations, or rights of any country, state, or jurisdiction by you, us, the service provider, or any third party; (h) the occurrence of any force majeure event; or (i) any other cause or circumstance beyond our reasonable control. In any case, our maximum liability to you will not exceed the amount paid by you for your booking.
 
Indemnification
  • You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold us harmless, our affiliates, partners, directors, officers, employees, agents, and representatives from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, suits, proceedings, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) that may arise from or in connection with: (a) your use of our website and services, or your booking or travel; (b) your breach or violation of these terms or any other agreement with us or the service provider; © your infringement or violation of any laws, regulations, or rights of any country, state, or jurisdiction, or of any third party; or (d) your negligence, misconduct, or fraud.
 
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
  • These terms and your use of our website and services are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Uganda, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these terms, your use of our website and services, or your booking or travel, shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Uganda, and you hereby consent and submit to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction and venue of such courts.
