Day 1: Arrival and Exploration

We will kick off your adventure with a comfortable morning pick-up from your preferred pickup point and scenic drive towards Kibale National Park.Upon arrival, you will check into your lodge and savor a delicious lunch surrounded by the captivating sights and sounds of the rainforest.

Day 2: Unveiling the Chimps

In the morning of the next day, you will rise with the sun and prepare for the highlight of your trip – chimpanzee trekking! After a briefing by experienced park rangers,  you will venture into the lush rainforest on the exciting quest to locate a habituated chimpanzee community.

As you navigate the verdant trails, you will have an opportunity to listen to the distinctive calls of the chimps and learn about their social behavior, communication, and family structures from your knowledgeable guide. You will also have a chance to witness these charismatic animals swinging through the trees, grooming each other, and playfully interacting in their natural environment. This once-in-a-lifetime encounter that will leave you with memories to cherish forever. In the afternoon, you will  take a leisurely stroll along the Kanyanchu Visitor Center trails. This is a scenic path that offers the chance to spot even more primates and delve deeper into the diverse flora and fauna of the forest.

To end the day,  you will embark on a thrilling birding excursion. Kibale boasts over 375 bird species, making it a haven for bird enthusiasts. With the help of your guide, spot colorful birds flitting through the trees and learn about their unique calls and habits.

Day 3: Cultural Immersion and Departure

On your last day, you will immerse yourself in the rich culture of the local communities bordering Kibale National Park, and then visit a traditional village and gain insights into their way of life, customs, and handicrafts. This interaction will offer a deeper understanding of the human connection to this remarkable ecosystem. After that moment of community interaction, we will  begin our journey back to Kampala, taking with you unforgettable memories of your chimpanzee encounter and the captivating beauty of Kibale Forest.
