About Impact and Sustainability
Besides promoting and providing authentic tourism and travel for everyone interested in visiting Africa, Shakes Travel aims to advocate for sustainable community livelihood development protect the environment that harbour the tourist attractions that tourism in Africa depends on. In collaboration with African Travel Stakeholders (local communities, Organizations, Companies, businesses and tourists), we aim to preserve Communities and environments from massive degeneration.
This campaign is set to increase tourism and travel in the region that equally Improves the community livelihoods and protects and conserves the environment in different tourist destinations across Africa
Africa is a continent of stunning natural beauty and diverse landscapes. It is also home to some of the world’s most iconic tourist attractions, beautiful sceneries, and wildlife. Nonetheless, Africa’s ecosystems face a number of challenges, including; Environment degradation, cultural degeneration, climate change, Habbitant loss, poaching and illigal wildlife trade, and unsustainable resource use, all which are pivotal to the social, economic and environment decline in tourist destinations that call these places home
Advocating for Sustainable Community livelihood development and Protection of fragile environment that tourism depends on is an opportunity for creating thriving ecosystems; building sustainable livilihoods; boosting tourism; creating a rich bioderversity and most importantly combarting the adverse effects of climate change
The Cause
There is a high number of travelers visiting the African Continent, generating revenue to tourism service providers in the region. Despite the increasing revenue from the tourism industry, the ecosystems in tourist destinations that harbour these tourist attractions are degenerating due to massive degradation caused by both human activities, and natural disasters causes as result of climate change. It is vital to work with local communities, governments, Non government Organizations, Conservation Organizations to establish mechanisms and ways we sustainably improve community livelihoods away from poverty and protect, conserve the environment ecosystems in order to keep not only the attractions but also local communities, wildlife, national economies and global biodiversity in balance.
The Impact
We integrate Impact and Sustainability program activities to raise awareness of the Social, economic and environmental challenges facing Communities and Environments Africa and explore sustainable solutions. By working with sustainable development and environmental regulatory bodies, we aim to develop policies and plans to protect these Natural community and environment ecosystems. Additionally, we aim to mobilize and raise resources for conservation efforts, and take action to protect community cultures and fragile environments through collaboration and partnerships.
